Footage emerged Thursday of a hijab-clad woman ripping up an Israeli flag at a makeshift memeorial to the victims of Tuesday's terror attacks in Brussels.
The images were broadcast Wednesday by the French-language TV network RTL and the clip rapidly circulated online and on social media.
In the footage, which lasts just over a minute, the woman examines the flags on the pavement at the Place de la Bourse in central Brussels. After picking up a Palestinian flag, she moves a few feet away to where the Israeli flag is laid.
The woman picks the flag up and begins to tear it apart. She covers the pieces with other flags and placards that have been laid on the ground before turning and walking back to join the crowd of onlookers.
The footage does not show anyone attempting to stop her, nor is it mentioned on the broadcast.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the suicide bombings at the Brussels airport and a subway station that killed at least 31 people and injured 250 others.
