What does the Taliban have in common with Charlie Sheen? Both are on Twitter.

The terror organization based in Afghanistan has embraced social media, creating its own Twitter feed.

The tweets -- which just started to be posted in English -- produce several messages a day, providing links to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan website.

The tweets by the Taliban report of strikes against "infidel forces."

"Fifth U.S. tank obliterated in Nawzad," says one, while another post reads: "11 U.S.-NATO invaders killed."

The Taliban is following on the social media network a charity supporting British troops in Afghanistan and a person who describes himself as a U.S. Air Force logistics officer working for the Afghan army, according to the Guardian.

The Taliban is up to nearly 1,000 followers.
