Report: Workers trapped in mine collapse in southeast Turkey

ANKARA, Turkey – Turkish media reports say a copper mine in southeast Turkey has collapsed, trapping a number of workers inside.

The private Dogan news agency says the mine, located near the town of Sirvan, in Siirt province caved in on Thursday. Several ambulances and rescue teams were dispatched to the area.

The cause for the collapse wasn't immediately known.
