ANKARA, Turkey – A Turkish news agency says an explosion near a police station in the southern city of Gaziantep has wounded at least nine people.
The private Dogan news agency said those injured in Sunday's explosion at the entrance of the police station include at least six policemen. It says the explosion appears to have been caused by a car bomb.
Several ambulances have been sent to the scene, the agency says.
The city is near the border with Syria.
