Poll: Most Japanese Distrust Government on Nuclear Crisis
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A new poll shows that more than three-quarters of Japanese voters do not trust government information on the country's nuclear crisis.
Eighty-one percent of respondents to the survey by Fuji Television Network said they did not trust government information on the crisis at the tsunami-hit Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant.
The March 11 earthquake and tsunami damaged the plant's cooling systems, causing the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Nearly 85 percent of respondents said the utility that operates the plant is dealing with the crisis poorly.
The poll was conducted May 28-29 and had 1,000 responses. No margin of error was given, but a poll of that size would normally have a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
The survey's results were released Monday.
