One government official killed in Somalia suicide blast

A Somali official says at least one parliamentarian was killed in an attack on a cafe where government officials were meeting.

Parliamentarian Dahir Amin Jesow, who was at the cafe Tuesday, said several parliamentarians and military officials were among the wounded, some seriously.

He said the attack happened in a town called Dhusomareb.

Most suicide bombings in Somalia are carried out by the militant group al-Shabab.
