Netanyahu Discloses Annual Salary
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a copy of his government pay stub on Facebook Monday, letting the public know that he takes home only 15,000 shekels ($4,200) each month.
Following public requests, Netanyahu said he “decided to provide total transparency” during a time when the country’s top officials and lawmakers are pushing for pay raises, Reuters reports.
Israeli media commentators described the move as a public relations stunt, but admitted they were surprised by Netanyahu’s low salary compared to other world leaders.

Netanyahu’s figure omitted personal expenses paid for by the Israeli government, according to commentators.
