Mom Shot Her Adult Daughter And Then Self In Apparent Murder-Suicide, Police Say

Investigators say a San Antonio woman fatally shot her adult daughter and then killed herself in an apparent murder-suicide at a home.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office on Tuesday identified the women as 37-year-old Hilda Gonzalez and 61-year-old Hilda M. Gonzalez.

San Antonio police are trying to determine what led to the gunfire.

The bodies were discovered Sunday when a concerned relative contacted police after not being able to reach the women. The bodies and a handgun were found at the scene.

Investigators believe the women had been dead for several days. The daughter's death was ruled a homicide and the mother's death was determined to be a suicide.
