A new video has surfaced claiming responsibility for the 2013 assassinations of two Tunisian politicians in the name of the Islamic State group.

The video features four armed, bearded men, including one identified last year as Boubakr Hakim by the Interior Ministry who said he at the time was involved with the assassinations.

The video appeared online late Wednesday and showed the black flag of the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq. One of the men pledges allegiance to the group.

Tunisia's radicals had previously been linked to al-Qaida.

The men claim responsibility for the assassinations and promise more attacks if Islamic law isn't instituted in Tunisia.

Islamic extremists in Tunisia have carried out a string of attacks against security forces in the past two years.
