Parents in the Mexican state of Sonora will no longer be allowed to name their children "Facebook," ''Panties" or 59 other now banned given names.

Sonora Civil Registry director Cristina Ramirez says the now banned names have been found at least once in state registries. She says the list could grow because officials are still checking the state's 132 newborn registries.

She says the law banning a list of 61 names that are "derogatory" or don't make sense took effect Monday and seeks to protect children from being bullied.

Other banned names include "Rambo" and "Lady Di."
