Kerry says he'll answer lingering questions on Benghazi attack

ROME – Secretary of State John Kerry says he's determined to answer any questions related to the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, Libya.

Kerry says anyone culpable of wrongdoing will be dealt with appropriately.

But he's withholding judgment on testimony in Congress suggesting that senior State Department officials were pressured or demoted for objecting to the administration's official line. The attack killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

It occurred while Hillary Rodham Clinton was secretary of state.

Kerry told reporters in Rome Thursday that he has appointed senior aide David Wade to deal with congressional questions on Benghazi. He said he is determined to put the issue to rest.
