One man has been convicted of murdering wealthy oil executive Carole Waugh, whose body was found stuffed in a car trunk months after her disappearance.

Rakesh Byayani, 41 and Nicholas Kutner, 48, were accused of stabbing Waugh in the neck last April and going on to steal large sums of her money.

The 49-year-old Waugh's body was discovered in August.

Over the course of the trial, a jury at London's Old Bailey Court heard allegations that Waugh worked as an amateur escort, and that the men were professional conmen with gambling habits.

Bhayani — who denied murder — was convicted Wednesday at London's Old Bailey court.

Kutner was acquitted of murder, but was convicted of perverting the course of justice by concealing the death.
