An Indian woman who's seen success as a competitive shooter used her skills to stop two men who'd been holding her brother-in-law for ransom, local media reported.
Ayisha Falaq, 33, fired at two men who had abducted her brother-in-law, 21-year-old Asif Falaq, in Delhi on Thursday night, NDTV reported. Asif, a taxi driver, was taken hostage by two men who had called a cab, the media outlet added.
The men called Asif's family members, demanding 25,000 rupees, equal to more than $387,000 U.S. dollars. That's when Ayisha and her husband, backed by police, headed to Bhajanpara, where the two men were holding Asif.

“They had started suspecting that we had the police with us,” Ayisha Falaq told NDTV. “They came out of the car and it was then that I shot them at their feet.”

“It is a very brave effort,” Ravinder Yadav, police spokesman and senior officer, said. “It was past midnight and since she is a national-level shooter, her aim was real good.”
