German authorities have released more pictures and details of the massive trove of art discovered in a Munich apartment last year.

The official "Lost Art" website has put a further 54 entries online, taking the total to 79.

The items posted late Thursday include works by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, French painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and German impressionist Max Liebermann.

The pictures were among more than 1,400 artworks that German authorities found in the home of recluse collector Cornelius Gurlitt in 2012.

German authorities have come under pressure to release as much information on the pictures as possible after keeping their investigation under wraps for almost two years.

Prosecutors say they are investigating whether up to 590 pieces may have been seized by the Nazis.
