Former Day Laborer Admits to Being Serial Butt Slasher

LONDON, DECEMBER 13: A hunting knife is held by an employee at a film and television prop company December 13, 2004 in London, England. Families of stabbing victims have called on the government to make carrying a knife as serious an offence as carrying a gun, with a minimum five-year jail term for carrying a knife with a blade longer than three inches. A Virginia man has admitted to slashing the backsides of several women in 2011.

Johnny Guillén Pimentel, who is 42 and a native of Peru, pleaded guilty Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court to two counts each of malicious wounding and unlawful wounding.

The former day laborer sneaked up on multiple women in northern Virginia and cut their backsides with a razor blade or box cutter.

He was suspected of slashing nine different women at various retail outlets, including Tysons Corner Center. The Washington Post reports that under the plea deal five other counts were dropped.

In at least one instance, Guillén Pimentel is believed to have hidden his weapon under a shopping bag while sneaking up behind one his victims, the Post said.

“The woman, 20, noticed the man hovering behind her and then felt a sharp pain. Before she determined what had happened, he slipped off into the crowd,” the story said.

“She looked at her rear end and saw her pants were cut,” Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney George Freeman told a judge, according to the Post. “She had a cut on her buttocks that was bleeding.”

Guillén Pimentel is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 6. He faces up to seven years in prison.
