It only took 15 minutes for an 18-year-old daredevil to scale the world’s tallest freestanding climbing wall  – and he did it without ropes or a harness to keep him safe.

George King, from Britain, is believed to be the first to complete the unfathomable free-climb ascent up the Excalibur wall at the Bjoeks Climb Center in Groningen, Netherlands.

He told Caters Media Group that he’s wanted to do the climb since seeing the structure in a YouTube video when he was 10.

“The Excalibur is a very unique climbing wall,” he said. “Instead of being vertical, it has a high-gradient overhand to it – the structure seems almost alien.”

Video footage shows King hopping over the fence at the climb center around 4 a.m. on June 26 before climbing up the 121-feet high wall in just under 15 minutes without any slips.

“I ensured I took my time, making sure every movement was as secure as possible,” he said. “When I got to the top, it really was the most rewarding view I’ve ever witnessed.”

He continued: “It’s definitely the greatest feeling in my life to date – and to be first to do it is something I could only dream of.”

Before starting his ascent, King held up an inspirational quote by Oprah Winfrey that read: “if you don’t know what your passions is, realize that one reason for your existence on Earth is to find it.”

King said climbing is his passion and hopes to inspire others – particularly those suffering from mental health – to find a passion that establishes meaning in their lives. He started the charity, Powers of Passions, for fulfill his mission.

“Climbing is my passion and I find a tremendous amount of purpose from doing it,” he said. “But I don’t encourage anyone to do what I do – everyone is unique.”

The daredevil would not reveal what his next stunt entails, only that it will involve President Donald Trump.

It’s unclear if King will face any punishment for entering the Bjoeks Climb Center without authorization.
