Czech pilot dies during flight; plane lands safely
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The captain of a plane flying from Warsaw, Poland, to Prague died after suffering health problems during the flight, Czech Airlines said Wednesday, AFP reports.
Peter Zmolik, head of the Czech Pilots Association, said the "very experienced" 55-year-old pilot, who had joined Czech Airlines almost 20 years ago, "probably died during the flight."
"Medical assistance was called to attend the landing of a regular flight from Warsaw to Prague today [Wednesday], as one crew member had health problems," Czech Airlines spokeswoman Hana Hejskova said in a statement.
