As South African police investigate the brutal murder of an Australian-British banker, more details have emerged of how his killer got in.
James Starkey’s body was found in the Raphael Penthouse Suites, a luxury apartment complex in Johannesburg.

A concerned colleague discovered his body. He went to see him after he failed to make contact on October 8.
Now the general manager of Legacy Hotels, the company that owns the the Raphael Penthouse Suites, has said Mr Starkey’s death could not have been as a result of a break-in, Fairfax Media reports.
He said Mr Starkey’s death occurred after his “invited guest” was let in.

“This incident was not a breach of security in the building and took place between the tenant and his invited guest in a private apartment,” Legacy Hotels’ general manager David Stroud said.
The news comes as South African police are still investigating Mr Starkey’s murder.
His body showed signs of brutal injuries, Fairfax Media reports.
He had suffered burns, strangulation and his hands were found tied together.
No motive or suspects have been found yet.
Mr Starkey was in South Africa for work. He was working as a management consultant at a banking consultancy firm called Catalyst in London.
