Arab league chief sees no progress so far in indirect talks between Israel, Palestinians
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}CAIRO (AP) — The head of the Arab League says indirect talks between Israel and the Palestinians are failing and sees no chance for a shift to direct negotiations.
Amr Moussa says senior Arab diplomats will meet July 29 to evaluate the results of the indirect talks, which started in May.
But he says the sides have made no tangible progress so far and "we are now facing the failure of these negotiations."

Senior Palestinian official Nabil Shaath, who also met Moussa, said the Palestinian Authority will submit a report at the July meeting about peace, Israeli occupation and the Gaza blockade, and urged the Arabs to adopt a unified position on these issues.
The Arab League approved indirect talks in May.
