The leader of the first-place party in the Czech Republic's parliamentary election says he will sign a deal with two other parties on Jan. 6 to form a new coalition government.

Social Democratic leader Bohuslav Sobotka's left-wing party has been negotiating a coalition deal with the centrist ANO (Yes) movement led by billionaire Andrej Babis and the centrist Christian Democrats.

Sobotka said Sunday that his party will get eight ministry posts, including the foreign ministry, while ANO will get six posts and Babis will become the country's finance minister. The Christian Democrats will get three government posts.

The parties have already agreed on a program to fight against corruption and encourage better governance.
