Warrant: Shell casing found on fleeing Virginia man's body
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Authorities investigating the reported self-inflicted death of a man who was running from Virginia police officers say they found drugs on his body, in addition to a loaded revolver and one spent shell casing.
The Winchester Star (http://bit.ly/1TUF3UC) reports that the Virginia State Police filed a search warrant Wednesday in Frederick County Circuit Court seeking data from two cellphones also found on 20-year-old D'Londre Minifield's body in Winchester on Sunday.
The warrant says Minifield shot himself once in the head while lying prone on the ground after having jumped over a fence. The medical examiner's office hasn't released his official cause of death.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Minifield's death has sparked protests in the community. Some witnesses have said they saw police shoot Minifield. Authorities say they never fired any weapons.
