Three dead in possible firebombing at Southern California tire shop
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A Southern California tire shop where three people died may have been firebombed, authorities said Sunday.
Firefighters arrived at the shop in South El Monte early Saturday and found a terrified and burned man behind a locked gate, trying to escape, MyFoxLA said.
He died despite a firefighter’s heroic effort to save him, the station said. Crews pulled two more bodies from the shop after the fire was extinguished. Authorities were trying to determine their genders.

A 911 caller reported the fire after seeing someone throw a Molotov cocktail at the shop.
Witnesses saw a white Silverado pickup leaving the scene at the time of the fire.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A firefighter suffered minor, second-degree facial burns while trying to rescue the man and battle the fire, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher told MyFoxLA.
