Sentencing set for man accused of killing 2-year-old Detroit-area girl in revenge attack
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}An ex-convict who authorities say killed a 2-year-old girl in front of her father in a suburban Detroit revenge attack faces sentencing.
Raymone Jackson on Tuesday is expected to get a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole. A Wayne County Circuit Court jury earlier this month found him guilty of first-degree murder in the July 1, 2014, shooting of Kamiya Gross outside a house in Inkster.
The jury also convicted Raphael Hearn of first-degree murder. Prosecutors say Hearn helped Jackson plan and carry out the attack. He's also scheduled for sentencing on Tuesday.
