Outside Atlanta, man was stabbed, then struck by a car
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police say a collision with a pedestrian in Atlanta's northern suburbs turned out to be more sinister: Before the victim was struck by a car, he had been stabbed several times.
Roswell police say 35-year-old Lawrence Cornelius Range of Marietta, Georgia, was hit early Wednesday morning by a black Acura while he was standing on a road. The Acura driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating.
Only at the hospital did doctors discover that Range had been stabbed repeatedly before the collision.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Officer Lisa Holland said Range was unconscious and unable to explain what happened.
Police are now searching for an older-model tan sedan that a witness saw fleeing the scene, and they want to hear from people who know Range.
