Massachusetts Priest on Leave After Sex Abuse Allegations
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A senior priest in Massachusetts has been placed on administrative leave following allegations that he sexually abused children 50 years ago, MyFoxBoston.com reports.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston has reportedly barred Rev. Dominic Menna of Quincy, Mass., from performing the duties of a priest.
The archdiocese has also banned the priest from living at Mary's Church in Quincy pending the outcome of the allegations, the station reports.

"I recognize that news of these allegations may be a source of distress for many people," he said. "My prayers and concern are with all people who are impacted by this matter. I remain committed to doing everything possible to protect our children, to further the healing process and to rebuild trust."
