Lawyer says dash cam video aired in Las Vegas hearing will help federal wrongful-death case
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A lawyer for a mother who viewed Nevada state police dash cam video of the last moments of her son's life says he's confident it will help in a federal lawsuit stemming from the fatal shooting by U.S. Bureau of Land Management officers.
Testimony revealed during a public airing of evidence Monday in Las Vegas that 20-year-old D'Andre Berghardt Jr. shrugged off stun-gun darts before he was shot and killed trying tried to get into the trooper's cruiser on a state highway near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
No findings or conclusions were made after the hearing.
