Delaware teen hit by car, sexually assaulted by driver, police say
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Delaware State Police say a teenager was hit by a car, forced into the vehicle by the driver and sexually assaulted before being let go.
The attack happened early Thursday on County Seat Highway in Laurel. Troopers say the 17-year-old girl was walking when she was hit by a car.
Police say the driver went back to the scene, forced her into the car and drove her somewhere in Laurel, where he sexually assaulted her.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Authorities say the man then drove the girl to her neighborhood and let her go.
The man is described of having an average build, clean-shaven and wearing glasses. His vehicle was described as silver with a mostly white license plate, The News Journal reports.
The girl was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
