A California woman has been charged with killing her 8-month-old baby and hiding the body in a storage shed for more than a year, authorities said Saturday.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office found the boy’s remains in a Bloomington, Calif., storage facility Thursday afternoon.
Maria Torres, 31, of Bloomington, has been charged with murder, CBS Los Angeles reported. She is being held without bail.

Authorities did not say how the baby was killed.
Torres told neighbors her baby died about a year ago from high potassium complications, the station said.

She said the boy was cremated. There was no funeral.
Neighbors said Torres is pregnant. Her other three kids are in the custody of child welfare workers.
