At least 24 people, including 22 passengers and two crew members, were injured after a Sacramento-bound flight from Boston hit heavy turbulence.

JetBlue said in a statement that Flight 429 was diverted to Rapid City, South Dakota following the turbulence. The plane landed safely at around 7:30 p.m. local time, according to KCRA-TV.

According to the airline, 24 people were taken to the hospital for further evaluation. JetBlue didn’t provide any other details.

Passengers who weren’t injured were awaiting another flight that was set to arrive in Sacramento at around 4 a.m.
