And now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine...

Ad Nauseum

Both presidential campaigns are taking heat for recent ads.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the owner of a specialty deli wants images of her storefront removed from an Obama ad about small business.

Debra Krause-McDonnell insists she did not give permission and some customers now say they will no longer shop there. But, she admits a store manager knew about the filming for stock footage, according to the Obama folks.

A local Democratic official explains that video was purchased by the campaign.

On the other side, a Romney ad accuses President Obama of failing Ohio car dealerships.

However, the ad actually shows images of Oklahoma.

A local news station in the Sooner State points out that the video shows downtown Oklahoma City, not Lyndhurst, Ohio as the ad implies.

Show Me the Money

The ousted police chief of Bell County, California who was making $770,000 a year in salary and benefits is suing his former employer for his severance pay...really.

Randy Adams argues he never agreed to resign or give up his severance.

He is already pulling down $22,000 a month in pension.

The new city manager there calls the suit hypocritical considering Adams was making more money per year than the President of the United States.

War and Peace

And speaking of hypocrisy, the United Nations Human Rights Council is on the brink of appointing a Sudanese warlord accused of genocide to its panel.

Despite a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, Omar al-Bashir's regime has the full backing of the world body's African delegation.

A U.N. watchdog says it would be like putting Jack the Ripper in charge of a women's shelter.
