And now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:

War Stories

Many people have nightmare stories about a certain boss, but several former staffers to Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee make her office sound like a house of horrors.

The Daily Caller reports staffers compared working for the Democrat with living in a dangerous war zone. Jackson Lee reportedly has one of the highest staff turnover rates in Washington apparently due to marathon work hours, over-the-top requests and frequent, profanity-laden outbursts -- quote -- "'You stupid [blank blank]' was like a constant." Some alleged demands included 2 a.m. runs by staff members for garlic supplements, insisting an aide wear a green hat when picking her up from the airport and forcing her drivers to run red lights and drive on highway shoulders to avoid traffic.

Jackson Lee's office repeatedly responded "no comment" when asked about the story.

Jersey Sure

New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie is confident that if he wanted to run for president he would win.

Christie tells the National Review -- quote -- "I have people calling me and saying to me, 'let me explain to you how you could win.' And I'm like, 'you're barking up the wrong tree. I already know I could win.' That's not the issue."

Christie has joked in the past that the only way to convince people he is not going to run in 2012 would be to commit suicide.

No Average Joe

And finally, Delaware voters have said "no" to one of their own who just happens to be the vice president.

The Brandywine School District will not name a new elementary school after Joe Biden. A popular vote determined the facility will be named instead after one of the area's earliest farming families.
