Spotify users won't like this song: The popular streaming-music service has been hit with a data breach, resulting in unauthorized access of its "systems and internal company data." An update to the Android Spotify app is also forthcoming, suggesting that the app may have a vulnerability that was exploited in the hack.
The good news is this breach appears to be very small: Spotify says it detected only a single Spotify user account being improperly accessed.
"This did not include any password, financial or payment information," said Spotify CTO Oskar Stål in a blog post Tuesday.

How the hackers were able to access "systems and internal company data" from that one user account is not yet clear. Spotify says it has reached out to the individual user who was compromised.
Stål says that "certain Spotify users" will be asked to re-enter their usernames and passwords to log into their accounts. Further, Android users will be asked to upgrade their apps. As yet, iOS and Windows Phone Spotify users appear to be unaffected.
Android users will have to re-download Spotify offline playlists when they upgrade, Stål notes.
