Sheriff's officials say a woman caught trying to use a man's ski pass at Keystone Resort in Colorado claimed she was in the middle of a sex change.

Season passes have the holders' names and photos on them.

A report from the Summit County Sheriff's Office says the woman told a sheriff's deputy her parents knew of her sex change and disowned her when she told them. The deputy called the pass holder's father, who was "shocked" to hear last weekend that his son was having a sex change operation, according to the report.

The deputy later called the phone number listed for the pass holder, who told the deputy he had given the pass to his girlfriend.

The woman was arrested on charges of theft of more than $500 and criminal impersonation.
