Woman Disappears at O'Hare Airport

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: A wife arrives back in the United States from an overseas trip. She arrives at Chicago's O'Hare Airport. She gets off the plane with all of the other international passengers and goes to Customs like everybody else getting off that flight. She is caught on tape at Customs. Her next stop should have been into her husband's arms. He was waiting there for her. But somehow she just disappeared. And this all happened on Tuesday, February 26.

Steven Frasch of Wisconsin was waiting for his 38-year-old Chinese wife Sumei Hu to arrive at Chicago O'Hare Airport. Frasch and Hu had met on an Internet dating service and got married in November 2005. She had gone home to China for a visit. Her husband said she has no credit cards and only a basic understanding of English. What happened to her?

Her husband, Steven Frasch, joins us live on the phone. Welcome, Steven. And tell me, is there any news in the disappearance of your wife since we last spoke to you a few hours ago?

STEVEN FRASCH, HUSBAND OF MISSING CHINESE: No. Nobody here has heard a word from her. There's nothing new to report.

VAN SUSTEREN: So, on February 26th, you actually drove to O'Hare Airport?

FRASCH: Yes, I did.

VAN SUSTEREN: And you fully expected she was going to get off the plane from this international flight. She had been in China. And to walk out and you would be there ready for her?

FRASCH: Right, exactly. It was my birthday. This is a big day for us and she never came out.

VAN SUSTEREN: Prior to the 26th, when had you last spoken to her?

FRASCH: It was like five days before that. She was going to her daughter to visit her daughter's house. And what she was going to do is visit her daughter and then leave her cell phone with her daughter so her daughter had a phone for when she's back in U.S.A., she could call her daughter, too.

VAN SUSTEREN: When you spoke to your wife on that day, about five days before she landed at O'Hare, was there anything unusual about that phone call?

FRASCH: It was just the usual call. And we were talking about her daughter and her daughter wants to go on to college in a few years. And we're discussing where would be the best place for her to go to college, in U.S.A. or China. And where she would spend her summers and stuff like that.

VAN SUSTEREN: Did your wife indicate or say anything to suggest you that she had any reluctance to return to the United States from her home of China?

FRASCH: None whatsoever. All indications were that she was looking forward to coming home.

VAN SUSTEREN: All right. So she's caught on tape, so she went to Customs. And has the United States government given you any help or any guidance as to what they think may have happened between the time she left Customs and was supposed to walk through that exit door?

FRASCH: Well, what happened was the Thursday after this, on the 28th, I went down to the airport, and I was viewing the Custom doors. And she should have walked out of them doors and there's nowhere on the doors I seen her walk out.

So whatever happened there, we cannot figure out. And now, it sort of seems like the airport is like dragging their feet on getting this video viewed. And let's find out what happened, where she came out, when she came out. She had to come out somewhere.

VAN SUSTEREN: And you were right there at those doors?

FRASCH: Right.

VAN SUSTEREN: Do you have any idea, and I know that you couldn't go beyond those doors, but how far Customs were from those doors?

FRASCH: Oh, I really don't have an idea how far.

VAN SUSTEREN: Steven, thank you. And we hope that the publicity, in case someone spotted her, we put her picture up on the air in case someone has spotted her. Thank you, Steve.

FRASCH: OK. Thank you.
