NEW YORK – A 71-year-old woman is dead after two separate cars hit her as she crossed a street in Brooklyn.
Nezilia Augustin was hit by a car traveling eastbound on Eastern Parkway while she was crossing at an intersection. Police say a second car then hit Augustin at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday.
She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital about 30 minutes later. The accident is under investigation.
