Authorities say twin brothers were arrested following the search of a northern Illinois home, where agents recovered assault weapons, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and white supremacist material.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives Special Agent Tom Ahern says the arrest and search warrants were served Thursday in Davis Junction for violations of federal firearms laws.

Ahern says Dennis and Daniel Mahon were the subject of a sealed federal indictment out of Arizona.

He says the brothers, who were born in 1950, are in custody of the Ogle County sheriff's office. They'll be transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshal's office.

Ahern didn't know if the brothers had attorneys. There are no telephone numbers listed for Mahon in Davis Junction.
