Drug charges were filed against four cadets attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, school officials said Tuesday.

Troy Wilson, Jordan Yeargain, Bradley Simms and Ryan Pope were each charged with wrongful use of a controlled substance. The cadets were accused of using cocaine.

Simms and Yeargain also face charges of wrongful distribution of a controlled substance and obstruction of justice.

Simms was also accused of wrongful use of marijuana, school officials said.

The students face a pretrial investigation similar to a civilian grand jury, academy officials said in a written statement.

The cadets will continue with their duties while the investigation is ongoing.
