Vermont Cyclist Seriously Hurt After Crashing Into Dump Truck

ELMORE, Vt. – A Vermont bicyclist was seriously hurt when he lost control of his bike and swerved into the path of an oncoming dump truck on Friday.

State Police say 58-year-old Henry Busetti of Stowe apparently bumped wheels with another bicyclist just before noon and swerved into oncoming traffic on Route 12 in Elmore.

He was hit by a dump truck, which then flipped and dumped its load of dirt on the road. The truck driver suffered a shoulder injury, and police say Busetti suffered life-threatening injuries.
