A U.K. man is claiming to have had the hiccups for more than a year and is asking for help curing them on his MySpace page.

Chris Sands, who describes himself as a singer, started hiccupping last February and hasn’t stopped since. The condition is so bad, the 24-year old said he hasn’t been able to perform as a musician, and at times has been unable to breath, sleep or keep food down.

As for remedies, Sands told Britain's Daily Mail last week that he’s tried everything from peanut butter to an oxygen chamber.

"It originally started in September of last year, I got them for two weeks and went to the doctor's who couldn't tell what was causing it," Sands told the Daily Mail. "Then in February they came back. I have tried everything to get rid of them, drinking water in thousands of different ways, hypnotheraphy, yoga."

A similar case occurred in the U.S. last year when Florida teenager Jennifer Mee battled hiccups for more than five weeks, until they finally stopped on their own.
