Two children abducted in Mohave County are now safe, and their alleged kidnappers are in custody.

Authorities on Sunday afternoon canceled an Amber Alert for 6-year-old Frankie Herrera and 9-year-old Cali Herrera, who are brother and sister.

The children's mother, 31-year-old Jennifer Ann Simmons, and 46-year-old Raymond Richard Bowen were arrested on charges of kidnapping, endangerment, aggravated assault and burglary.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office says deputies found Simmons, Bowen and the children at a Mohave Valley home Sunday afternoon, about 18 hours after the kidnapping.

They say the children were disturbed and upset, and are in the care of Child Protective Services.

CPS had recently taken the children from Simmons and were abducted from a temporary home.

The sheriff's office says a 10-year-old sibling of the kidnapped children and a 25-year-old caretaker were assaulted during the kidnapping.
