On tonight's edition of “Special Report”…

• The government's proposal to allow small scissors and some other sharp objects back onto airliners is causing an uproar among flight attendants, families of victims of the Sept. 11 hijackings and several lawmakers. Catherine Herridge will bring us the details on the proposal by the Transportation Security Administration.

• Then, 10 Marines were killed outside Fallujah on Thursday and another 11 were wounded in what was one of the deadliest days for American troops in recent months. Mike Emanuel has the latest.

• And, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and war critic Rep. John Murtha joined forces today to again call on the U.S. to begin withdrawing forces from Iraq. Major Garrett has a report.

• Also, President Bush declared the economy to be in good shape today as he touted the latest unemployment figures. Carl Cameron takes a look at the latest Labor Department report.

• Plus, there’s a lot happening in Israeli politics as two top political leaders bolted from their respective parties to join a new party, while the country's political satire program is having a field day with the whole process. Jennifer Griffin has the story.
