Homemaking guru Martha Stewart (search) won a significant victory in court today. A federal judge threw out the most serious charge against her, the count accusing her of securities fraud in her insider trading case. The judge said that prosecutors had failed to present sufficient evidence to allow the jury to decide the matter. The case is expected to go to the jury next week. Stock in Stewart's Martha Stewart Omnimedia jumped nine percent on the news.
