President Bush interrupted his vacation to fight back against criticism that the U.S. is not doing enough to aid countries hit by devastating tsunamis. He reminded people that U.S. is pledging 35 million dollars now, and that's only the beginning. Fox News White House Correspondent Wendell Golder reports.
Plus, we know what the U.S. has pledged to aid tsunami (search) relief efforts, but how much are other nations giving? And where does the money go once it’s pledged? We turn to Major Garrett for the details.
And while tens of thousands lost their lives to the devastating tsunamis, many who survived lost almost everything else, including their homes. Many nations are setting up makeshift refugee camps to care for all the homeless — FOX News correspondent Jennifer Griffin has a report from her visit to a camp in Takua Pa (search), just north of Phuket, Thailand.
And what can be done to keep tabs on the thousands of refugees who arrived in the U.S. last year looking for asylum (search), but left for Canada where they believed their chances for asylum were better? FOX News Correspondent Jeff Goldblatt reports how the U.S. and Canada are now working together to put a stop to the confusion.
Correspondent Steve Centanni has the details of tax loophole that has wealthy homeowners claiming income tax deductions for easements "donated" to historic trusts which allows them to keep more of their money by promising not to change the facade of their historic homes without approval.
