A 2-year-old girl found wandering alone in a Florida mall was reunited with her parents Thursday.

A couple from Georgia found the toddler walking around by herself in an Orlando shopping mall Wednesday evening and notified mall security, MyFOXOrlando.com reported.

Police then began searching for the girl’s parents.

Investigators later learned that the girl belonged to a group of family and friends visiting Disney World, according to MyFOXOrlando.com.

The group split in two, and miscommunication led both to believe the other group had the child.

The girl’s parents were in Baton Rouge, La., and had not been made aware of the girl’s disappearance at the time. The toddler was returned to her family and friends around 2 a.m. Thursday.

An investigation continues into any possible charges.
