Now last week, you may remember, I made fun of Helen Thomas for asking a dopey question at the first presidential press conference.

HELEN THOMAS, JOURNALIST: Mr. President, do you think that Pakistan and — are maintaining the safe havens in Afghanistan for these so-called terrorists? And also, do you know of any country in the Middle East that has nuclear weapons?

Well, for years, Ms. Thomas has accused the USA of murdering people, and she has consistently downplayed the terror threat, or the so-called terror threat. So in the spirit of political satire, I said this:

O'REILLY: Now, the White House press corps looked intimidated to me. Didn't they look intimidated? Except for that — what's her name — the old lady Helen Thomas. She was yelling even past, and he ignored her. Ah! She actually — here's what she actually…

ALAN COLMES: Is that your Helen Thomas impression?

COLMES: Is that your Helen Thomas?

O'REILLY: Ah! Ah! It's like the wicked witch of the East.

COLMES: I didn't know you did impersonations.

O'REILLY: You know, here's what I — if I were Barack Obama, I would have poured water on her and she'd dissolve.

Well, soon after that, the far-left kooks cranked up, and a women's group demanded that I, your humble correspondent, apologize to Ms. Thomas.

So I asked you about that, and the results are in. About 75,000 folks voted. Big number in our BillOReilly.com poll. A whopping 93 percent say I should not apologize to Helen. Only 7 percent say I should.

Now, according to a Pew study, 47 percent of people watching "The Factor" are women. So that's not good news for the left-wing women's group. And about 50 percent of "Factor" viewers are either independents or Democrats. More bad news for the far-left loons.

So what I'm getting from this is that many Americans are fed up with out of control PC nonsense, and there is plenty of it around.

On Friday, a bunch of people in Boulder, Colorado, put on this display, I guess, trying to rally support for gay marriage or something. It's not quite clear. What is quite clear is that in-your-face demonstrations are becoming more and more common in America.

The capital of PC madness, of course, is San Francisco. The latest there is support for Hamas, the terror group. Some loons think Hamas is terrific and object to Americans condemning the group.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Free, free, Palestine.

CROWD: Free, free, Palestine.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: If someone throws a shoe at that flag because it represents a religious point of view, you guys are going to be having punches swinging this way.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Go away. Come on.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hey, hey, hey, hey.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Get back! Get the (EXPLETIVE) back!

Now "Talking Points" believes displays like that are angering fair-minded Americans. There is a lot of uneasiness in the USA right now. Yeah, liberals are in control of Congress in the federal government. But many folks are concerned, very concerned, and they don't know how things are going to work out.

So while fair Americans will give President Obama a chance, it looks like far-left lunacy is being slapped down. Let's hope that continues.

And that's "The Memo."

Pinheads & Patriots

Sunday night I gave a speech at the Reagan Library, just north of Los Angeles, in support of my book, "A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity." Great evening, sold out crowd.

I learned something interesting about the Reagan Library. Not only do 400,000 people visit each year, but tens of thousands of school children get to sit on Air Force One, visit the Oval Office, and generally figure out what the presidency is all about.

Now, all of our presidential libraries in the country are worthy, but for their creativity, though, the Reagan folks are patriots.

On the pinhead front, airline passengers continue to be tortured all over the world because of delayed and canceled flights. One woman in Hong Kong took the news that her flight left without her a bit hard.

Click here to watch the woman's airport meltdown!

We have had guests here that sounded like that. While we understand the woman's frustration, she did enter the pinhead zone.
