As I write this, another American helicopter has just been shot down by insurgents, killing the crew.
It makes me wonder how ready Iraq really is for a transfer of power.
If Iraqis go to the polls to vote in a direct election, will they too be attacked by insurgents?
If the bad guys shot to death some innocent Iraqi women this week simply because they were trying to go to work, seems like they would also murder other innocents just trying to exercise their freedom at a polling booth.
