The Secret to Living to 103? Listening to CDs

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A Fort Myers woman who recently turned 103 says she gets happier every year.

Gladys Malarkey, born in a small Pennsylvania mining town in 1905, celebrated her birthday Sunday with family and friends. She's outlived her husband, son and four siblings. But she says she finds happiness in the small things, like listening to music on CDs, which she calls "little records."

The centenarian still dresses herself every morning and gets around with the help of a walker. Earlier this fall, she went shopping to pick out her pale pink birthday outfit.
