A Texas gas station clerk was charged with assaulting a customer after locking the woman inside the store and turning off the lights, The Austin American-Statesman reported.

The woman, who told police she had stopped at the Shell gas station on Jan. 28 to buy a bottle of water and cigarettes after a night out with a friend, said the clerk was telling her "how pretty she was and was trying to kiss her," according to an affidavit filed on Tuesday, The Statesman reported.
