A Swedish model, who has worked for Versace and Bacardi drink company Martini, spent the weekend in a Canadian jail after being charged with assaulting three flight attendants aboard a plane, police said Monday.

Police allege Marzena Kamizela, 32, became unruly on a British Airways flight from Stockholm, Sweden to New York. The flight had to be rerouted to the eastern Canadian province of Newfoundland on Friday.

British media reported that Manchester City soccer star Danny Mills had to help handcuff the unruly passenger, but police wouldn't confirm that.

Kamizela was scheduled to appear in court on Monday in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
