Police have no reason to suspect any suspicious circumstances in the case of a young actress found dead days after the show she starred in was canceled, but they are continuing their investigation.

Authorities were interviewing friends and family members about what may have led to the apparent suicide of 22-year-old Stephanie Parker of South Wales, the U.K.'s Daily Mail newspaper reported.

Parker, who starred in the long-running British TV series "Belonging," was found hanged near Pontypridd on Saturday morning, just two days after the last episode of the show was broadcast.

"She was a great talent," her agent Mark Jermin told the Daily Mail. "We are really shocked."

Parker, who played young mother Stacey Weaver on "Belonging," joined the cast of the award-winning BBC drama when she was 15 years old.

"Stephanie's talent played a major part in making "Belonging" the success it was and I'm sure that the program's fans will be shocked by this untimely news," said Clare Hudson, head of BBC Wales English language programming.
